What to see and do:


Noosa National Park

Covering more than 9800 acres of paperbark forests, rainforest, coastal dunes and wetlands, the National Park is perfect for those looking for panoramic coastal views from the edge of sea cliffs with possible glimpses of dolphins or whales and you may even be lucky enough to spot a Koala! Other outdoor activities on offer include surfing, fishing, and swimming.

Hastings Street

The beating heart of Noosa Heads, this hip and happening street is an essential stopover. Home to an electric mix of chic designer stores, cute boutiques, art galleries and gourmet cafes and hatted restaurants. Relax after shopping by enjoying many beautiful picnic spots and beach access of Noosa Spit Recreation Reserve which anchors one end of the street. At night time, stroll down the fairy-light-covered boardwalk while listening to the crashing waves.

The Noosa River

The Noosa River is only a five-minute drive from Hasting street. A popular area for locals to stroll, jog or bike ride along the riverfront paths. Plenty of picnic areas that are well shaded with eucalyptus trees. It’s a great spot for kayaking, boating or stand up paddle boarding. Or hop on the Noosa ferry that has several stops along the way. The Everglades in Noosa are just one of two everglades in the world! Glide through the peaceful wetlands and waterways with a sea kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle board experience. With fully-equipped guided tours, this pristine wilderness bursting with beauty, rare birds and plants.

Noosa Main Beach

One of the only Australian beaches facing north, Noosa Main Beach is sparkling clean and soaked in sunshine. Take a stroll along the boardwalk fringed with pandanus, pines and palm trees or dive into the gentle waves and try your hand at surfing or paddle boarding. Named as the 10th World Surfing Reserve in 2019 Noosa is famed for its laid-back surfing culture. Every February the Noosa Festival of Surfing WSL Longboard open is held.

Laguna Lookout

Eumundi Markets

Known as one of Australia’s best art and craft markets, Eumundi Markets are only 30 minutes drive from Noosa. The markets are open every Saturday and Wednesday morning for amazing local produce. There are 500 market stalls to choose a local treasure from.

How to get there:


The closest airport is Sunshine Coast Airport with direct flights from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. It is only a half-an-hour drive south of Noosa.

Best time to go:


Spring, from September to November, is the best time to visit as the lowest average annual rainfall, clear skies, and warm temperatures make the perfect weather for enjoying beaches and national parks.
