The Coronavirus Pandemic and subsequent international travel ban have changed the way Australians look at tourism. Renaissance Tours has unveiled a collection of new Australian travel itineraries. There will be a domestic tourism boom and Renaissance Tour Managing Director, Evan Petrelis says “Sometimes the finest travel experiences are found on one’s own doorstep, or only a short drive from home”.
“Living in a part of the world as diverse as Australia, we can surely claim that there is ‘a world in one country’ within easy reach”. And “Often the unexpected forces us to rediscover the things we may have taken for granted about our country: our world-class art galleries and museums: superb musicians and concert venues; gardens and landscapes of outstanding beauty; and some of the finest gourmet produce and wines you will find anywhere in the world”.
During the development of this latest large collection, Petrelis said, “So, that after these long months of home isolation, our clients can now easily get away for a short, affordable and enriching travel experience in the company of like-minded others”.
A celebration of Australian culture, the tours offer a variety of experiences. Some are part of the World Art Tours program and they will be organized by the Art Gallery Society along with Renaissance Tours. Others are focused on the spoils of the land, offering food and wine tasting in some of the most luxurious destinations the country has to offer.
The new collection offers itineraries varying from short getaways, ranging from 3 to 6 days and up to 11 days for the Garden Tours.
