How to get there:
Fly to Hobart or Launceston and take a leisurely drive along the Tasman Highway. The trip is approximately 2.5 hours and the road there is dotted with local attractions and lookout points.
Best time to go:
Peak season is from mid-December to mid-February, although Freycinet’s temperatures are fairly mild all-year with relatively infrequent rain. To dodge the crowds and increase your chances of seeing whales, visit in spring or early autumn.
